How can I find out what my family coat of arms is? - find your family coat of arms

My name is Sherman. I do not know if my family is originally from England and Prussia. But I know hehe I am a direct descendant of William Tecumseh Sherman ( "I am happy"). I do not trust one of thousands of websites who are entitled to back, but I'm open to suggestions. If one know the people, good ) sites or companies (free or paid, you can find your coat?

Crest are not distributed to families, but individuals. There is no such thing as a 'shield of the family of weapons, "despite everything, like what the seller that you are thinking.

Even if you opt for WT Sherman, I can dispel the confusion in English or Prussian origin. In any case, English. East Anglia, to be exact. A book published in 1920 about the genealogy of this family:

Sherman Genealogy, including the families of Essex, Suffolk and Norfolk, England by Thomas Townsend Sherman,

In the UK arms are specifically granted to individuals, not families. If a man has arms of the children are received, with some differences. Only the son inherits his father after the death of his father.

Germany (Prussia) are one of the German states, funded by private individuals.

Crest does not cover family everywhere, even when there are many vendors sell on the Internet, in shopping malls, airports, in magazines like them. Often more than one man with the same name, not necessarily all related, each is given or taken his own coat of arms, all different. None of these crooks all. There is no need to sell to suckers. The only time you are assigned to more than a coat of arms with the same name that, if more than one man with the same name, national origin or have been awarded alleged. You then have each one, and could be 50 additional

It was recently announced in theTV Program name stories framed as dark as someone who does not all have the same name with the story of a family. If the names are assigned or have been adopted in Europe during the last millennium, it was impossible for the legitimate children of the same man, with a different name to the end and yet each would have his name shared with d 'others have no known relationship. The person who follows his name, is not necessarily the person to another person with his name.
The man in the United States "is known, a coat" weapons are not "his" coat of arms. You see on television, the FCC may find a difficult task for deceptive advertising. The FCC has no control over the Internet or other branch in the local mall.
